Olde Mill Primitives began as a very small operation in early 2012. The owner always had a love for country decor and interior design. As a mom of very young children and recently injured in a minor incident, this ushered a time to consider what to do to keep moving from home. In the early days, it all started as gift baskets, candle arrangements, and handcrafted country inspired creations. It was run through social media, and at that time known simply as Lacey's Country Home. What was completely unexpected was how the products were received, there was a definite demand. Two years later it was time to embark on a new chapter. A very petite store would be opened to make it much easier for customers to pick up and get a chance to browse the products, something lacking using online shopping.
Opening the summer of 2014, the shop was full of excitement, the dream of owning a store had finally come to fruition. Each shipment that came in it started to transform into a primitive haven and more and more locally and from great distances were discovering us. After that first busy holiday season it was clear the little shop needed an expansion. Another room was added to help with the flow. New product lines were coming in, more primitive inspiration, as well a new name, 'Olde Mill Primitives' to better describe the store's rustic atmosphere.
One year later, that store had been outgrown and with no more room to add on, it was time to make a big move. Sights were set on the Village of Omemee, waiting for the right spot to become available. We had always imagined our shop in the quaint village, close to home and a wonderful central point for so many of out customers. April 1, 2016 the store began the exciting move as well the careful work to transform the beautiful historical building into a warm, primitive shoppe we have here today.
